Gordon Brown BVM&S, CertSAO, MRCVS Gordon graduated from The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, Edinburgh. He has been working in the orthopaedic field since 1986, and after two years additional study gained the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Certificate in Small Animal Orthopaedics (Cert SAO) in 1994. He was awarded the Leslie Vaughan Prize by the British Veterinary Orthopaedic Association (BVOA) for obtaining the highest marks in the examination. Gordon is a past secretary and treasurer of the BVOA.
Simon Gilbert MA, VetMB, CertSAO, MRCVS Simon qualified from Cambridge University Veterinary School and has been active in the orthopaedic field since 1988. Simon spent two years studying radiology in 1991. Following an intensive course and training in orthopaedics he went on to achieve the Cert SAO in 1994. Simon has been treasurer of BVOA and a member of the executive committee.
James Tattersall BVSc, BSc, CertSAS, DiplECVS, MRCVS James graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2000. He won the 2000 RCVS Fitzwygram prize; awarded to the most academically outstanding student from the UK veterinary schools. After a year in small animal practice he went on to complete an internship in small animal medicine and surgery, followed by a residency in small animal surgery, at the University of Edinburgh. James gained the RCVS certificate in small animal surgery (CertSAS) in 2003. He was appointed lecturer in Small Animal Orthopaedics at the University of Edinburgh in 2004 and became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS) in 2006. James left the University to join The Grove Veterinary Orthopaedic Referrals in January 2007.
